Static website and hosting
This project website is served through GitHub Pages. Delivery sends data including your IP address, request time, requested URL and technical browser/connection information to GitHub. GitHub states that it logs Pages visitors’ IP addresses for security. Providers: GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA; in Europe also GitHub B.V., Prins Bernhardplein 200, 1097 JB Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Availability and security serve the legitimate interest in an accessible, secure project website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). GitHub determines retention of its security logs according to its purposes and legal duties; we do not control individual log retention or specify a separate fixed period for those logs. See GitHub’s privacy statement for processing, recipients, international transfers and retention. Processing may take place in the United States and other countries.
No analytics or embedded services
The website contains no advertising, analytics scripts, externally fetched fonts, contact forms, accounts or embedded videos. Images, fonts and scripts are served with the website. External links connect to their destination when you follow them.
Chosen cookbook preferences
The interactive cookbook stores only your explicitly selected language, naming display and appearance locally in the browser as cookbook-language, cookbook-naming and cookbook-appearance. Appearance defaults to the system preference. These settings are not sent to the publisher and remain until overwritten or removed through browser site-data controls. Storage serves the requested presentation (section 25(2)(2) TDDDG). No tracking cookies are used.
Using the skills
The website does not execute a coding agent or upload project files. After installation, invoked skills may process prompts, conversation context, selected files and tool results through your coding host. Host and model providers apply their own settings and terms; local tool execution does not imply exclusively local model processing. Cookbook runs no backend for this. The optional scanner stores redacted check metadata in the inspected repository’s Git directory until replaced or removed. The optional local MCP sidebar is a separate package.
Contact, support and rights
If you voluntarily send email, sender/contact information and message contents are processed to answer your request, under Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR depending on its nature. Retention depends on the time necessary to address it and applicable legal retention or evidence duties; no fixed period is asserted without the specific request. Public GitHub issues are public and additionally subject to GitHub’s processing. Do not send secrets or unnecessary personal information.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may complain to a supervisory authority such as LDI North Rhine-Westphalia. For GitHub’s own data, consult the rights and contact information in its linked statement. The German version governs in case of translation differences.
