Getting started

Choose a figure, change a parameter and watch the result. Open it in Studio to edit the JavaScript, then use Run, Restart or Stop.

Parameters

Arguments are the values inside parentheses. Their order matches the parameter names in the signature. A default after = is used when an argument is omitted. Strings need quotes; numbers and booleans do not.

drawDino(size, paintColor, legAngle);
drawDino(120, "LimeGreen", 25);

Coordinates

The centre is (0, 0). Positive x goes right; positive y goes up. Distances use logical drawing units, not screen pixels. 0° points up; positive turns go clockwise. hideTurtle() hides the arrow without moving it.

Command reference 77

forward()

forward(distance)

Move distance units forward in the current direction.

ParametersMeaningDefault
1. distanceDistance—

Angles are degrees. 0 is up, 90 is right; positive turns are clockwise.
